We have all seen the disastrous impact of head injuries on well-known sporting identities across many sports. What we do not see so easily are the many amateur or community based sports people that suffer head injuries. These do not make the press but can be equally devastating. In addition, rarely do we see the impact a head injury may have on administrators or the reputation of a club, or even an entire sport, let alone the insurance cost of sustaining such injuries.
